Last Sunday's Vanguarda Comunidade (7) brought up another important topic related to our health: mouth cancer. It is one of the most common in men in Brazil. Tobacco and alcohol are the main risk factors.
Early diagnosis, just like any other cancer, is fundamental. Research from the University of Taubaté (Unitau), inclusive, is underway and seeks to identify cases of the disease through saliva.
To address this important issue, presenter Talita França spoke with the coordinator of this research, the dental surgeon and stomatologist Luis Felipe Carvalho. Watch the program below:
