
Partial balance released by the Organizing Committee of the International Science Congress, technology and development (Cicted) from the University of Taubaté (Unitau) demonstrates prevalence in submissions of works linked to the area of Health Sciences in this tenth edition.
With registration closing on September 30th, the commission registered a total of 466 works presented, of which 170 are directly linked to this segment. The area of Human Sciences is in second place with 70 works presented, followed by the area of Applied Social Sciences with 61 submissions. Engineering areas complete the list. (58 works), Biological Sciences (43 works), Agricultural Sciences (31 works), Linguistics, Letters and Arts (15 works), Technology (10 works) and Exact and Earth Sciences (8 works).
Regarding the subareas, medical courses (45 works) and Nursing (41 works) were those who presented the most contributions to Congress.
To the director of the Department of Medicine at UNITAU, Profa. Dra. Maria Stella Amorim da Costa Zollner, leadership in ranking of submissions demonstrates a systematized production of content by students and teachers. “I am extremely happy with the amount of work that our Department presented to Cicted. Our students are very interested in producing research. We have 30 active leagues plus extension projects. We have a systematized production”.
Part of the works presented, according to the director, has anything to do with the Covid-19 pandemic. “We see changes in notifications of other diseases due to the pandemic, for example. We also have two studies that demonstrate more pronounced drops in vaccination coverage during this period”.
The involvement of faculty and students is also highlighted by the director of the Department of Nursing and Nutrition, Profa. Ma. Maria Cecília Marcondes Vasconcelos.
“The number of nursing work submissions represents the dedication of professors, student performance and interaction with the University, demonstrating that our course is strong in its performance”.
In accordance with the rules of the notice, The summaries of the submitted works will be screened by the Cicted Scientific Committee and the expectation is that the list of approved works will be available on the site of the congress from October 11th.
As in the previous edition, X Cicted will be held remotely. The event takes place from October 20th to 22nd.
X Cicted will take place during National Science Month, Technology and Innovations and incorporates the theme “The transversality of science and technology and innovations for the planet”.
