
The Postgraduate Program in Health Sciences is justified by the important role it has to obtain the degrees of Master in the areas of dental clinical concentration and promotion, Health Prevention and Treatment, training professionals technical and pedagogically for the exercise of teaching, providing knowledge and encouraging them for the development of scientific research and a doctor of health sciences, Training Professional with Technical Knowledge, wide and deepened scientific and cultural, capable of forming masters and developing research, both national and regional, in view of the program's egress profile.
The course has as objectives:
- Form and qualify masters and doctors capable of exercising teaching and creating, participate and solidify lines and research groups in other public and private institutions;
- Train professionals with a sense of social responsibility, capable of strengthening the University-Community System;
- Train professionals capable of capturing human and financial resources for the development of teaching and research;
- Stimulate and promote exchange with national and international institutions and research groups;
- Generate and spread new scientific and technological knowledge.

The egress of the Master in Health Sciences should be able to:
- Exert, based on scientific evidence and critical and ethical sense, teaching in the various areas health and other related areas;
- Develop and work in extension projects that enable a transformative relationship between university and society, aiming at regional positive impacts at larger;
- Develop and guide scientific initiation research projects and lato sensu courses;
